They are triggers or references, rather than explanations and precise statements, they never assert. They rather state what cannot be refuted: ALL ART HAS BEEN CONTEMPORARY or inquire: WHAT ARE WE TALKING ABOUT WHEN WE ARE TALKING ABOUT ART.
